Ubuntu Phone: Reviewed!

So basically, this thing came out in CES 2013. First of all Ubuntu Phone is not a hardware model but a Operating System which falls under software categories. While using it I did find some bugs and all that but guys, it’s the totally Pre-Alpha version of it so it will develop, just wait for it.

The best things we can say is that it is really unique from other MobileOSs’. There is Windows Phone, iOS, Android, Symbian etc. but this one – I gotta say is really unique.

The first thing you notice when you look at the home screen will be the user interface. It’s really nice, smooth and fluid. Here is a video for explaining the Ubuntu phone in depth.

Another thing that was really fascinating was that if you connect it with your television or any other viewing source – What you view is not your mobile phone OS but it will be the Ubuntu operating system. The full whole version of Ubuntu. Whatever features Ubuntu for computers has is there in the mobile OS, so yeah.

Ubuntu will be ready for smartphones at retail in Q4 2013.

Add A Refresh/Stop Button To The Address Bar In Chrome For iPhone

Everyone appears to be absolutely in love with the Chrome app for iOS. The first impression of the new iPhone web browser might be that it is perfect, and has got all the features anyone can possibly want. However, that is not the case. Although Chrome is better than Safari in quite a few areas, there are still things that could have been better in Google’s official browser app for iPhone and iPad. If you don’t believe that, and happen to think that nothing can be improved in Chrome, take a look at our post discussing some of the best Chrome-related Cydia tweaks available in the jailbreak store. The Cydia developer community isn’t satisfied with the Chrome app just yet, and the latest tweak released for the enhancement of the browser is named EasyRefresh for Chrome. If you have ever used the Chrome app on your iPhone, you are sure to have noticed that if you want to refresh any page, you have to go to the app’s options menu and tap the button from there. EasyRefresh solves this problem by adding a new refresh button to the address bar, just the way it works in Safari!

Before installing the tweak, go to the Chrome app and take a look at the address bar. It has got nothing except the URL of the page you are currently on. The options menu features the refresh/ stop button at the top of the list. EasyRefresh for Chrome will not disturb this refresh button, it will just copy it to the address bar. The tweak can be downloaded from the BigBoss repo of the Cydia store, where (quite expectedly) it is available as a free download. The whole package is just 13kB in size, and will finish installing in the blink of an eye. After downloading EasyRefresh, launch Chrome again. It is better if you kill the app from the App Switcher tray before re-launching it, but that is not a necessary step. Once the app is up and running, take a look at the address bar, and you will see the newly added refresh button there. While a page is loading, the button will be displayed as a cross icon that can be used to stop loading a page at any time. Other than that, the button is there to let you refresh the page.

Of course, EasyRefresh is just one of the ways you can have an alternative to the stock refresh method in Chrome. The Chromizer tweak (covered in detail in our list post linked in the intro) adds the pull to refresh functionality to Chrome. However, if you are a fan of the address bar refresh button, EasyRefresh is the tweak you need.

Adair Major Update comes with something powerful packed.

The “Simple Clean Fast” web browser by The Adair Team was out on 19th of May. However it was based on a /rebuilt/ that means a faster processing IE7 Engine was not impressive but at least it managed to do well and surf the web without even a single crash. But the new version update or say the major update is something that will be hard to ignore. A big jump from version 0.5.1 Release Candidate to 5.9 Stable…

The new version has the WebKit Engine which supports HTML5 which gives you a not bad 240 Score with 2 bonus points in the test. It is surely not the best because Maxthon is leading the way out of HTML5 with an awesome, really awesome 470 on 500.

HTML5 is a markup language for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web, and is a core technology of the Internet originally proposed by Opera Software. It is the fifth revision of the HTML standard (created in 1990 and standardized as HTML4 as of 1997) and, as of May 2012, is still under development. Its core aims have been to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices (web
browsers, parsers, etc.). HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4, but XHTML 1 and DOM

“We are working hard on upgrading our engines and getting better and better to beat atleast Google Chrome with using the least processor usage” says AndreasCY from The Adair Team.

“We have our main concentration on the speed and ease on the browser, along with the smooth acceleration to avoid crashes” said AdityaDB also from the team.

We give this web browser a 4 watching the easy design maintaining the metro design style.  So if you want to go ahead and try this browser out you go here

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Review and Debut Trailer

Spanish retailer indicates Activision’s unannounced Call of Duty sequel being readied for release during typical launch window.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will go on sale this November, yes! it will! says CALL OF DUTY TEAM.

Activision had previously confirmed that a new Call of Duty title would ship in 2012, but did not provide a name or a release window. Call of Duty has had new installments debut between late October and mid-November every year since the franchise was launched in 2003.

The retail listing does not provide further information regarding the game, and as of press time, Activision had not responded to GameSpot’s request for comment.

This is far from the first indication that this year’s Call of Duty game will be Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Two weeks ago, Amazon France reportedly posted (and then pulled) alisting for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Later, a contract art studio employee’s resume included mention of the game.

Call of Duty didn’t go a super hit but MW3 ran to rescure. The must to pre-purchase game by me. You will be stunned by the new graphic engine. Fabulous GRAPHICS rendering and i think there will be a better storyline this time after the first of the series. <b>Watch the Debut Trailer now!</b>

Alienware refreshes M14x, M17x, and M18x gaming laptops (update)

They might look just like the same Alienware gaming laptops that went on sale last year, but the M14x, M17x, and M18x are getting some pretty major additions for 2012. Each laptop now has an mSATA slot for a solid state drive for a variety of new storage configs, and Bluetooth 4.0 now comes standard on every model. Klipsch speakers aren’t the only audio perk this time around: now, all three laptops have a dedicated Creative Sound Blaster chip on the board, and THX TruStudio software. And of course, they’re getting some serious gaming firepower in Nvidia’s new GeForce 600 and AMD’s Radeon HD 7000 series GPUs.

The new 14-inch M14x R2 will have a bona fide 28nm GeForce GT 650M GPU with up to 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory, up to 16GB of RAM, an optional slot-loading Blu-ray drive, and an mSATA port for a solid state drive. If you just want a fast boot and a responsive machine, you can get a 64GB boot drive with 500GB of magnetic storage, but if you’ve got the cash, Alienware tells us you can set up a 512GB RAID 0 array of solid state storage for maximum speed. Needless to say, that’s a pretty impressive set of features for a 14-inch laptop.
